2015-10-05: I used my router to carefully remove the foam where the aluminum hard points are to be floxed. As many other builders have said in their blogs – it’s satisfying to see the pencil marks from the inside hard points appear when I removed the foam on the outside!
2015-10-09: Prepared for glassing the shear web. Masked all foam NOT be glassed with tape and saran wrap. Covered the table as well. I spent two hours on this step – including cutting all the glass for the next step.
2015-10-10: Glassed the shear web with 4 plies UNI in 45 degrees, two plies one way, two plies the other way. Peel plied everything. Set to cure. This step took 4 hours working all alone.
